Frequently Asked Questions

How does Just Nourish work?

Place your order before 12pm on Tuesday each week. We prepare, snap freeze and ship your meals direct to your door.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

We've done our best with our menu to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Our meals are made in a commercial kitchen that is not allergen-free, which means that there may be trace amounts of allergens in our food. If you're unsure if our meals are suitable for you, please contact us at hello@justnourish.com.au and we will be happy to help.

Can I send meals to a friend after a baby?

Sending meals is one of the most practical and thoughtful ways to support someone after they have welcomed a new baby. The early weeks with a newborn can be physically and emotionally demanding, and many parents struggle to find the time or energy to cook. Having nourishing meals ready to heat can make a meaningful difference during this period. Friends and family often organise meal trains or send freezer meals so new parents have reliable food available while they focus on recovery and caring for their baby. A delivery of nourishing meals can be a simple but deeply appreciated gesture of support. And if you aren't sure what they'd like, we offer Gift Cards which can make the perfect gift.

Does Just Nourish deliver postpartum meals across Australia?

Yes. Just Nourish delivers nourishing, freezer-friendly meals across Australia so families can have supportive meals ready during the postpartum period. Our meals are nutritionist-designed and cooked in small batches using wholefood ingredients, then frozen to preserve freshness and flavour. Orders can be delivered directly to your home or sent as a thoughtful gift to a friend or family member who has recently welcomed a baby. Having nourishing meals available in the freezer can make it much easier to eat well during the early weeks of parenthood, when time and energy are often limited.

How will my order be delivered?

We use experienced national courier partners with temperature-controlled trucks and storage facilities for all of our orders. Your order will arrive frozen in an insulated shipping carton, designed to be put straight into your freezer.

When will my order be delivered?

You can choose your delivery date when you checkout, and even schedule your delivery up to 90 days in advance. You can view our delivery schedule in our delivery information here. If our scheduled delivery day doesn't work for you, you're welcome to reach out to us at hello@justnourish.com.au so we can see if we can help.

What meals should you eat after giving birth?

After giving birth, nourishing meals that support recovery and stable energy are especially important. Many mothers benefit from meals that include iron-rich ingredients, quality protein, healthy fats and sources of fibre. Iron helps replenish stores lost during birth, while protein supports tissue repair and healing. Meals such as slow-cooked meats, lentil dishes, nourishing curries, vegetable-rich stews and whole-grain meals can provide steady nourishment during the postpartum period. Many cultures also prioritise warm, comforting foods that are gentle on digestion. Having prepared meals ready to heat can make it much easier to eat well during the early weeks when time, sleep and energy are often limited.

What foods help postpartum recovery?

Foods that support postpartum recovery are typically rich in iron, protein, healthy fats and a wide range of nutrients. Iron-rich foods such as slow-cooked meats, legumes and leafy greens help replenish iron stores after birth. Protein supports tissue repair and healing, while healthy fats provide sustained energy during long days and nights with a newborn. Meals that include vegetables, whole grains and sources of fibre can also help support digestion and overall wellbeing. Many mothers find that warm, nourishing foods such as soups, stews and curries feel especially comforting during recovery and provide steady nourishment throughout the day.
